Harley-Davidson Inc.s Kansas City plant will not hold its annual open house in September this year. In years past, Harley-Davidson has combined a weekend open house that draws Harley dealers and riders from the five-state region with a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Harley-Davidson, a US-based producer of heavyweight custom, cruiser and touring motorcycles, has named Joanne Bischmann as the new vice president of communications. She will report to Keith Wandell, president and CEO of the company.
