Earnings Preview: Harley-Davidson sees Q4 motorcycle shipments of 45,500-52,500

Expectations have dropped for Harley-Davidson#39;s (HOG) fourth quarter results in the month leading up to the company#39;s earnings announcement slated for Tuesday, January 24, 2012. The consensus analyst estimate has dropped from 24 cents a share to the current estimate of earnings of 22 cents a share.

Harley-Davidson Inc. (HOG) rose sharply in early trade Friday and extended its gains in the early portion of the afternoon. The stock closed higher by 1.28 at $42.03, with volume at nearly a 2-month high.
