The future of Harley-Davidson Inc.'s factory in the Milwaukee area became more certain Monday when union members ratified a seven-year labor contract that could result in the loss of hundreds of jobs but would keep Harley from moving the production work out of the state.
Harley Davidson had warned it would move its two Wisconsin operations to other states if the workers rejected the contract. A move would have eliminated about 1,350 jobs.
